Learnings Program 2021

How to join the program

1. Get excited and make sure you the participant is ready to have some fun and learn some new skills, get wet, get outdoors and be ready to commit to the six week/six session program.

2. Get in touch with us to discuss your participant and his/her needs and desires. Or fill in the registration form on this page.  Let us know where you'd like to take your funding from (i.e. Social Community Participation/Core/Capacity Building/Therapeutic Supports/etc).  Provide your contact details (phone, email).

3. We will send you the sign up forms 

4. Return forms to us and we will start working to get your participant ready to start the program.

Terms & Conditions

Registration Process:

  • On registration, official forms will be sent, fill out the forms and return along with your assessment payment.

  • Full payment of the program is required by the start of program, once assessment has been completed and the participant has been accepted into the program.

  • Our assessment assesses the participant for safety and risk management to ensure safety in the program and to satisfy our insurance and NDIS obligations.  Assessments are conducted by our program director.

  • Payment is by invoice and will be sent to your email address or your plan manager as stated on your forms.

  • Once the participant has started the program there are no refunds available.  If a participant, once assessed, requires other interventions (i.e. swimming skills, or additional support) options will be offered or no further fees are applicable (only the assessment fee).


  • Transport is offered to participants from Gympie and other areas as organised on sign up.

  • Transport costs will be provided in the quote/invoice for claiming.

  • It is expected that all information regarding a participants behaviour management plan (if required) be communicated to the Learnings Program prior to starting.


  • Participants will be engaging in physical activities and will be supported by our staff.

  • Participants will require particular clothing and safety equipment, please ensure they have this available each session (swimwear, sunscreen, hats, shoes, change of clothes).

  • Due to duration of each session there will be time provided for eating lunch.  Lunch is to be provided for each participant by their family/carer, packed appropriately and of healthy standard.

  • Staff will work with participants to enable them to achieve goals and get the most out of their program

  • NDIS standards and charters are adhered to please refer to these through our ''More" Link at the top of the screen.  

The Learning's Program 2021 provides an opportunity for participants to try out surfing, stand up paddle boarding, hiking, surf-skate skateboarding at Rainbow Beach as part of a six week (or six session/school holiday) program.


The program offers activities which are aimed at developing participants understanding of themselves, the new activity/sport, to explore learning new skills, create friendships, and be in a positive and fun outdoor environment. 

We are happy to offer transport to the program, Gympie to Rainbow Beach, for other areas please enquire/register your interest.  

Sessions would be approximately 5.5 hours of support time including travel to and from Gympie/Maryborough.
